Our department started education and training in 1993. Turkish Language and Literature Department offers a four-year undergraduate program in the department (day-time classes and evening classes). These programs are carried out in accordance with the understanding that young scientists can take part in interdisciplinary studies. Students who have the opportunity to investigate and examine the written and verbal data revealed in our recent history in the field of Turkish Language and Literature, become an individual who has the ability to think intellectually, rather than literacy. Our department aims to educate researchers and scientists that examine Turkey's and Turkic world's material and spiritual cultural heritages, especially related to Turkish language and literature. Our graduates have the opportunity to work in a wide range of all free or private sector institutions and organizations that consider their bachelor's degree sufficient. They can continue their scientific work as a research assistant in almost all the Departments of Turkish Language and Literature in the universities of Turkey. After the pedagogical formation courses given in our university, they can teach at all official and private schools or private teaching institutions under the Ministry of National Education.
